Liliana Yang is a multi-hyphenate filmmaker and a MFA Film Production candidate at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Growing up internationally, Liliana has been exposed to a myriad of cultures, shaping her unique understanding of the world. Her early love for painting, combined with a keen sensitivity to visuals and colors, laid the foundation for her artistic journey. As an avid music lover, she draws inspiration from various genres, including musicals, which influence her expressive storytelling style.
Liliana's passion for visual and auditory arts naturally evolved into filmmaking, where she seamlessly blends her diverse influences to create compelling cinematic narratives. Her films have garnered recognition at numerous international film festivals, including the Oscar Qualified LA shorts International Film Festival. Her recent film, "Her Nails," has won the Remi Award at the 57th Houston International Film Festival. Liliana's multifaceted background and artistic sensibilities continue to inspire and captivate, highlighting her immense potential in filmmaking.
